There is a thin line that sets apart bravery from stupidity. In taking up that challenge of recreating the sound of the 1975 cult classic Sholay, we have been walking that line everyday of our lives for over two years.
We are Raju Singh, Parikshit Lalvani and Kunal Mehta. While we have spent anywhere between 15-25 years in sound designing, sound engineering and music composition, our latest project made us feel like school boys!
During this fascinating adventure we discovered melody, silence, fear and joy. The Sound of Sholay helped us discover our raison d'etre. This blog is a way for us to share with you our stories as we went about adding terror to Gabbar Singh's foot steps in his introductory scene, pathos to Radha's heartbreaking silences and exuberance to Veeru and Basanti's fun filled exchanges.
